Crews were called to the scene of a mobile home fire in Evansville on Tuesday. Dispatchers say fire crews were called to a home on Carolina Avenue around 4:40 p.m. on Tuesday, in the Carolina Pointe Mobile Home Park just off of Allens Lane. Officials at the scene told our news crew that the fire was accidental, and started by someone who was using a propane torch to clear grass to resurface. They say wind pushed the fire into the trailer. Crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly and keep it from spreading. We're told the trailer is salvageable, and that no one was living there.
