One man is dead and two women were taken to a hospital after a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 69 Thursday evening.
Police responded to a call of an accident with party pinned at 7:45 p.m. at the 315 mile marker. Multiple calls to 911 advised a vehicle was on its top and had struck the center median in the northbound lanes of I-69 just north of the Interstate 469 ramp.
When police arrived at the scene, they found three people in the overturned vehicle, possibly pinned or trapped inside, according to a news release from Mark Bieker, police information officer.
Firefighters at the scene worked on freeing the occupants, and paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. Two women were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. However, one of the women was downgraded to life-threatening at the hospital.
