Firefighters Respond to an Oxygen Leak and Medical Call in Arlington Heights

Police, firefighters, and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 7:24 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2021 to a report of a natural gas leak at the Evergreen House apartment condo building at 110 South Evergreen Avenue in Arlington Heights. Police and firefighters received a report that a person was doing work on a gas line at a unit on the third floor when a leak occurred. The wind at 6:51 p.m. was from the Southeast at 8 MPH according to the National Weather Service Office at O’Hare International Airport. When firefighters arrived at the unit they discovered that the line being worked on was actually supplying oxygen for a medical patient. Firefighters and paramedics worked on securing any possible leak and were checking on the well-being of the person in the residential unit.
