The Sycamore Fire Department has a new deputy fire chief, after the city council approved the appointment during Monday’s meeting.
Dan Rink has been named the new Deputy Fire Chief in Sycamore, and was sworn in during Monday’s Sycamore City Council meeting.
According to a social media post, Rink has been a firefighter since 1995, when he started with the Batavia Fire Department where he served for three years. He then spent 23 years with the Elgin Fire Department where he served as a firefighter and paramedic, lieutenant, captain, battalion chief and then assistant chief.
