Flames damaged a single-story home Saturday evening on Aurora's East Side, leaving it uninhabitable, according to fire officials. None of the home's residents were injured in the fire, which took two dozen firefighters 20 minutes to put out, fire officials said. The Aurora Fire Department received reports around 7 p.m. Saturday about a single-story home on fire in the 1200 block of Grove Street, according to a news release. When they arrived, firefighters saw smoke coming through the front door and all of the home's residents standing outside, the release states. Fire officials estimated the fire caused $45,000 in damage.
