Meridian Firefighters put out a fire at a business on the 400 block of Franklin. The fire started at 6:15 PM. Arriving firefighters saw smoke and flames coming from the building. Meridian Fire Department says their fast work likely saved thousands of dollars worth of equipment. No one was hurt. A cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
