PHOTOS: A house fire Thursday afternoon closed part of Second Avenue West between Castleford and Dierkes streets in downtown Twin Falls. Smoke poured from the home and upstairs apartment at about 2:30 p.m. at 536 Second Ave. W. Neighbors told the Times-News that several people had come out of the home uninjured. Richard Tucker, who has lived in the home for 20 year resident said he was in the house with his son when the lights flickered. He went outside to investigate the power box at the rear of the house. “As soon as I opened the back door, I saw fire going up the side of the back of the house and I immediately ran inside and yelled at my son to go out the front,” he said. “And then went to the back bedroom to help my wife get out so i could get my family out safely.” Tucker said he he saw a power line on fire but doesn’t know how the fire started.
