PHOTO: On Friday, March 26, 2021, the Mountain Home Fire Department and the Rural Fire District were able to put “Tower 1” officially into service.Tower 1 is the Tower Ladder and Platform Fire Truck made possible through a joint effort of the two fire departments in a purchase of this major piece of equipment. In a story in the Mountain Home News in the February 10th edition, the vision and search for the apparatus, purchasing effort, and final journey here was told.
