PHOTOS: A vehicle was destroyed after a fire ripped through it following a collision with a deer. The Blaine County Sheriff's Office says a 59-year-old Washington state man was driving north on Highway 75 Tuesday night when his vehicle collided with a deer near the Highway 20 junction. The driver and his passenger were able to get out of the vehicle with only minor injuries. The van, which was completely burned inside and out, was towed from the scene. The deer scampered away from the scene prior to the arrival of emergency personnel. “We want to remind people that wildlife is a significant road hazard in rural counties such as ours and to remain alert while driving,” said Sheriff Steve Harkins.
