Firefighters are continuing to battle a brush fire in West Maui that officials say has been 75% contained. The fire started around 11 a.m. Tuesday near Ukumehame. The blaze has scorched about 10 acres. Crews have been conducting water drops and creating fire breaks around the area to stop the fire’s spread. So far, no evacuations and no injuries have been reported. We’re told a MFD crew was on the scene overnight to keep watch. The cause is under investigation.
