VIDEO: Honolulu Fire Department crews assisted two hikers in two separate rescues on Saturday.
An injured hiker had to be rescued after she couldn’t make it back down the Manoa Falls trail, according to Honolulu Fire Department officials.
Officials say the 911 call went out shortly after noon.
The hiker, a woman in her 60s, was airlifted to a nearby landing zone for treatment, according to officials.
This is the second hiker to be rescued on this trail in the last two weeks.
Earlier in the day, emergencies rescued another hiker.
Officials say at 10 a.m., someone called 911 to report an injured hiker on the Puu Kalena Trail in Wahiawa.
The caller said a hiker fell 100 feet, was hurt, and was stuck on the side of a cliff in a precarious position.
The hiker was airlifted to the nearby landing zone, treated, and transferred to a medical facility.
