Pedestrian seriously injured in Tamuning accident

Police and fire units were on the scene of an auto-pedestrian accident that left a man seriously injured in Tamuning Monday night. At 6:21 p.m., Guam Fire Department responded to the accident on Marine Corps Drive, across from Little Tommy's Barbershop, according to spokesman firefighter Nick Garrido. Garrido said the person who was hurt, described as an "elderly male," was taken to Guam Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Guam Police Department spokeswoman Berlyn Savella said the Highway Patrol was activated, and the investigation was ongoing. The driver remained on the scene.
