122 new COVID cases reported in Guam, 49 hospitalizations

This evening, the Joint Information reports that 49 people are hospitalized for COVID-19. Additionally, there are three pediatric admissions. 12 patients are receiving ICU level of care, while 7 are on a ventilator. The JIC also reports that out of the 49 hospitalized patients 22 are vaccinated, 26 are unvaccinated and one is ineligible to receive a shot. DPHSS reports 122 new cases of COVID-19 out of 1,187 test samples. To date, there have been a total of 17,276 officially reported cases, 226 deaths, 2,690 cases in active isolation, and 14,360 not in active isolation. The CAR Score is 16.7. To date, a total of 122,465 (89.85%) of Guam’s eligible population (residents 12 years and older) is fully vaccinated.
