A Snellville family of seven is thankful that their neighbor was alert after their home caught fire early Monday morning. Gwinnett County firefighters were called to a home on Hidden Forest Drive just before 4 a.m. where they found the house fully engulfed in flames. It took two dozen firefighters about two hours to put the fire out. While fighting the fire, officials say the power line in the house disconnected and created an electrical hazard for firefighters. The homeowner told fire officials that they were woken up by a neighbor banging on the door telling them the home was on fire. None of the family members were hurt, but one firefighter suffered a minor injury and was treated and released at the home. Fire officials found that the fire started by accident, but they have not determined what caused it.
