The St. Lucie County Fire District (SLCFD) said Darcey the dog went missing at around 2 p.m. on Wednesday near Walton Rocks Beach. After a long and undoubtedly frightening night stuck in the nearby mangroves, hope arrived in the morning. Thanks to the incredible efforts of the community and the crew from Station 8, Darcey was located and successfully reunited with her overjoyed mother Thursday morning. A photo taken on the beach during sunrise shows Darcey, her relieved owner, and the SLCFD crew.
