During Pensacola Mayor Grover Robinson's weekly press conference, he addressed a settlement quietly reached between a former Pensacola Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief and the city.
"A lot of vindictive things happened over the last 8 years. I think we know that.," Mayor Robinson said.
Robinson was referring to a portion of the $575,000 settlement. Part of it bars former Fire Chief Matthew Schmitt and Deputy Fire Chief Joseph Glover from applying to any city job. If they did, their applications would not be considered.
"I think that is wrong", said Robinson.
The settlement between Glover, Schmitt, and the City of Pensacola was quietly reached in November 2018.
