One person was taken to the hospital after their vehicle went into the water at Cherry Creek State Park. According to South Metro Fire Rescue, first responders were called to the west boat ramp for a water rescue just before 1 p.m. When they arrived, they learned that rangers from Colorado Parks and Wildlife had rescued the person who was in the vehicle. A short time later, SMFR posted on X that two divers were in the water to help get the vehicle out. A four-door, light-colored sedan vehicle was towed out of the water. The person who was taken to the hospital had minor injuries. At this time it’s unclear what caused the vehicle to go in the water.
