Firefighters battled a fire in a downtown Springs parking garage after a vehicle burst into flames early Tuesday morning. Firefighters were first called to Weber and Bijou just after 4:36 a.m. on a vehicle engulfed in flames near the entrance to the garage. The blaze was out within about 20 minutes. Reporter Kasia Kerridge says the smoke left a lingering stench in the area, even with the fire out. It’s currently unknown how the fire started. No one was hurt. CSFD told 11 News it’s unclear if the car owner was the one who called 911 or a passerby.
