VIDEO: The Pueblo Fire Department (PFD) announced that the EVRAZ fire is 100% contained as of 3:45 p.m. Saturday, April 6. They mentioned that although the fire is 100% contained, that does not mean it’s fully extinguished. Jurisdiction and oversight have been handed off to EVRAZ North America’s onsite crews.
The City of Pueblo said that the shelter-in-place is no longer in effect, as of 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 6.
Two firefighters are recovering from injuries they sustained while fighting the EVRAZ fire on April 5, according to the local Pueblo Firefighters Union #3.
There is no word on their condition as of Saturday.
