An early-morning fire Saturday in a mobile home between Erie and Dacono led to the discovery of stolen vehicles and motorcycle, and the Weld County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two suspects. Weld County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Joe Moylan said deputies responded at 2:30 a.m. Saturday with Mountain View Fire Rescue District to a fully engulfed fire at 2322 Weld County Road 11 between county roads 6 and 8, east of Erie and south of Dacono. The property is owned by Johnston Family Farm LLC according to information on the Weld County Assessor’s Office website. A 17-year-old male and 51-year-old male were in the mobile home at the time of the fire. Both sustained minor injuries and the 17-year-old was transported to a hospital, Moylan said. Three stolen vehicles, including a Mercedes, and three stolen motorcycles were later discovered on the property. The sheriff’s office is now looking for a male and female suspect for possible connection to the thefts.
