A family and an Arizona fire department are grieving after the death of a firefighter on Friday.
The Copper Canyon Fire & Medical Authority announced on Saturday that firefighter Shane Gage passed away on Friday.
"The circumstances of Shane’s death have not been disclosed," the department said in a post on Facebook. The department says Gage is survived by his wife, Allie, daughter, Sophie, and parents, Ron and Tammy.
Gage lived with his family in Prescott Valley and had been with CCFMA for seven years. He was also part of the local firefighter's union, the Sedona Verde Valley Fire Fighters Association Local 3690.
CCFMA said Gage's body is being watched over by an honor watch and that information about his funeral will be announced soon.
