VIDEO: Street takeovers led to three major incidents in Tucson this past weekend. First, a woman’s car was reported stolen and set on fire during an event at the intersection at 12th and Drexel. Trisha Saucedo said her black Honda Elantra was taken on Sept. 29 and the Tucson Police Department confirmed the vehicle was the one that was seen burning on several social media posts hours later. Saucedo said after watching her car in the street takeover, she felt “lost” and “depressed.” “Just seeing them stomping on it, and the urgency of their voices, they were being so mean towards it,” Saucedo said. “My car looked helpless.” Saucedo is a mother to two children. She used her car mainly to drive her children to school daily and run errands. Without her mode of transportation, she was unable to bring her children to school the day after her car was stolen and burned.
