VIDEO: A Jonesboro family is wondering what led to a relative’s mobile home exploding. Just after 8:30 a.m. Thursday, July 18, firefighters and police responded to the area of South Patrick Street and Hope Avenue regarding a residential fire. Panthenie Green, who is related to the home’s owner, initially thought it was just a simple fire. “When we got here, they told us it was an explosion, and we are trying to figure out how this part of the house exploded when it wasn’t livable,” said Green. Green said no one lived on the side of the house that exploded, which left him with many questions. He said the home had been there for years, so they had never seen anything like this before. “We talked to a couple of the neighbors that lived here, and they said they felt the power of the explosion that shook the house,” said Green.
