According to the North Little Rock Fire Department, three adults died in a Tuesday morning fire at a downtown area apartment complex. Around 2:22 a.m. officers of the NLRPD and members of the NLRFD responded to building 8 of Shorter Garden Apartments at 800 N. Beech St. As described by a fire marshal, the second floor collapsed on the first floor, leaving conditions that were not survivable. The NLRFD was able to get in and locate the victims. The Red Cross has been notified and the North Little Rock School District is helping with displaced children.
