An unidentified male should be counting his blessings after being involved in a motor vehicle collision on Interstate 40 Sunday evening, October 3rd.
At about 7:15 p.m. Pope County 911 operators received a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle collision that had occurred near the 88 mile marker westbound on I-40. The caller advised dispatchers that a small passenger car had rear ended an 18-wheeler and they believed injury had been sustained.
At that time, dispatchers requested the response of the Arkansas State Police, Pope County EMS and the Pottsville Fire Department. As responders checked en route to the location, Russellville Fire Department Engine 3 was also dispatched.
Upon the arrival of responders, they observed a small white passenger vehicle, determined to be a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, that had sustained heavy damage to its front end in the crash.
