On Saturday, July 27, the Irondale Fire Department will be holding a ceremony for its new trucks being added to its unit. The additions include three new fire engines, one ladder truck, and two rescue units. “We are proud that as a City we are able to invest in state-of-the-art fire and rescue vehicles to ensure that we can respond to emergencies efficiently and effectively,” stated Mayor James D. Stewart, Jr. The ceremony will begin at 8:00 a.m. in front of Irondale City Hall. The Irondale Fire Department says the trucks will be lead by a band, and the event will include prayer, blessings, and remarks from guests, including the mayor.
