VIDEO: Paramedics with the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department were unsuccessful in their attempts to revive a pet dog brought out of a burning home on Parkway Drive Monday morning. No people were home at time of the fire, but a pet cat and another dog have not been located, the MFRD reports. Firefighters were dispatched at about 7:49 a.m. to the residential fire in the 1700 block of Parkway Drive. They found heavy fire and smoke showing from the side of the single-story home. The MFRD said crews entered the home and extinguished the fire and protected an adjacent home from burning. The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time. No injuries to personnel were reported, according to the fire department.
