A 14-year-old in Montgomery has been charged with 2nd-degree arson.
According to Montgomery Fire/Rescue, on Sunday, February 18, MFR responded to a structure fire in the 2200 block of Terrance Avenue. Once on the scene, crews found a single-story residential fire with heavy smoke and flames.
MFR stated that during the course of the investigation, a 14-year-old became a suspect in the incident. The Montgomery Police Department contacted MFR’s Bureau of Investigations about a juvenile they had in custody with a possible connection to the fire. During questioning by investigators, while in the presence of his mother, the juvenile admitted to starting the fire.
The juvenile was subsequently charged with 2nd degree Arson.
