VIDEO: Mobile Fire-Rescue Department firefighters responded just before 1 p.m. Wednesday to a reported residential fire in the 2400 block of Gulf Terra Drive North.
The initial units on the scene reported heavy volumes of thick, black smoke visible from the eaves of a single-story, residential structure, according to MFRD.
"... No civilians or fire personnel sustained injuries during the incident. Fire Investigators reviewed the scene and conducted a brief but detailed investigation. The cause of the fire has been determined accidental, following a lightning strike to the roof of the home. The home suffered significant fire and water damage to the attic and smoke damage throughout."
