VIDEO: Raging fire sweeps across multiple buildings in New York; 9 injured

At least nine people were injured in a four-alarm fire that swept across a cluster of buildings in Brooklyn late Monday night, according to the FDNY. The fire broke out at a building on Dean Street between Mother Gaston Boulevard and Sackman Street around 10:40 p.m. Over 160 firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the scene, per fire officials. Firefighters were seen deploying ladders to strategically blast water from up high to douse rising flames before eventually taking the firefight inside. Three civilians and six firefighters were injured in the blaze, according to the FDNY. Neighbors watched the hours-long effort to control the fire. At least 25 adults and six children were displaced, per fire officials. It was put under control at 1:30 a.m. and the fire is under investigation.
