Ambulance crash injures 4 Utah fire medics, investigation ongoing

VIDEO/PHOTOS: Four Layton Fire Department medics are recovering from serious injuries after their ambulance rolled in a crash. Layton city officials reported that the medical team was transporting an elderly patient to McKay Dee Hospital when they collided with an SUV at the intersection of 5600 South and Harrison Boulevard in South Ogden Monday. Although no one died, the incident highlights concerns about emergency vehicles and traffic, even as the cause remains under investigation. Jennifer Hunter of South Ogden expressed her worry upon hearing about the rollover near her home. "I just hope that they're going to be okay," she said. Video footage obtained by 2News shows the intense aftermath of the crash.
