Entry Level Firefighter/Paramedic

The City of Salem Fire Department is accepting applications for the position of Entry Level Firefighter/Paramedic. This recruitment will be used to fill up to 20 vacancies and establish an eligibility list for future hires. Salem Fire Department is seeking self-motivated Firefighter/Paramedics to join our organization.

Fire experience is not required, new Paramedics as well as experienced. Firefighter/Paramedics are encouraged to apply. Posted pay rate includes 9% EMT-P additional premium pay per hour.

Lateral Firefighter/Paramedic

The City of Salem is accepting applications for the Lateral Firefighter/Paramedic position. This recruitment will be used to fill up to 20 vacancies as establish an eligibility list for future hires.

The Salem Fire Department is seeking self-motivated, professional Firefighter/Paramedics to join our organization. A minimum of three (3) consecutive years of experience as a full-time, paid Firefighter / Paramedic with an agency whose primary responsibility is fire protection and emergency medical services is required to apply. (Volunteer, sleeper/resident, paid-on-call, or seasonal does not apply to Lateral Firefighter Recruitment). Posted pay rate includes 9% EMT-P additional premium pay per hour.
