Are you mechanically inclined, tech-savvy, customer-focused, organized and motivated by money? We have just the position for you. Municipal Emergency Services (MES) is looking for a service technician to travel (in a company van) to various Fire Departments in the region to perform testing and maintenance on SCBA equipment (the air packs the firefighters use). We will get you trained and certified.
This is a full-time position with full benefits and the potential to earn significant commissions.
MES is the Nation’s largest suppliers of personal protective equipment, law enforcement products, and services to the first responder market.
Essential Job Functions:
• Conduct periodic service calls at Fire Departments conducting preventative maintenance services on 3M/Scott Safety SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus) and SCBA related equipment.
• Flow-testing (certifying the equipment works properly and to required standards).
• You will troubleshoot and perform repairs on customer equipment as required
• Work remotely and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Good computer skills are essential
• Attention to detail is critical, this is life-saving essential equipment for Firefighters
• Service Technicians must be willing to travel and stay overnight at hotels for remote or large jobs
Requirements
Job Requirements:
• Be mechanically inclined
• Ability to lift items, packages, and containers weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen (excludes THC) and background check
• Candidates must possess a high school diploma/GED
Preferred Experience:
•Previous experience servicing and maintaining HVAC equipment/systems, small engine repair, firefighting equipment, cabling experience, work as a mechanic, electrician or previous experience with hydraulics.
