Job Type:                                    FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC - Full Time

Salary:                                               $44,928.00 starting plus benefit Package

                                                     (negotiable base on experience)

General Duties:

As a member of a Fire District and under the direct supervision of a Fire District Captain, a Firefighter/Paramedic performs firefighting, rescue, emergency medical care up to and including the Paramedic level and other types of emergency response related duties. Participates in fire prevention, code enforcement, and public safety education activities. Helps to maintain and make minor repairs to the fire station, fire apparatus, and emergency response equipment. Participates in training and personal development activities necessary to acquire and maintain the knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of a firefighter in a proficient and safe manner.   

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, current valid driver’s license, Nationally Registered Paramedic or State of Wisconsin Licensed Paramedic(or able to obtain), Firefighter I Certified, Entry Level Driver Operator, Hazard Material Ops Training, have passed Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) no more than two years ago or ability to pass a CPAT within 18 months of hire.  Will need to obtain valid Wisconsin Driver License within 30 days of employment.   

 

The required position schedule is nine (9) – 24 hour shifts in a 28-day period.
