$5,763.84 – $7,211.68 per month plus additional paramedic, longevity and education pay.  Laterals may qualify for a higher starting step depending on years of experience.

The City of Mukilteo is accepting applications for the position of Lateral Fire Fighter/Paramedic.  This recruitment will be used to fill an anticipated mid-2019 vacancy as well as establish an eligibility list. Anyone with a desire to pursue a rewarding career in a community-oriented fire department is encouraged to apply. 

The Mukilteo Fire Department is seeking self-motivated, professional Fire Fighter/Paramedics to become a part of our organization.  Our vision is Excellence in Public Service.  This is demonstrated daily through the Core Values of Integrity, Compassion, Honor, Duty, Courage, and Teamwork.  The fire department operates two fire stations using a 48/96 shift schedule and provides service to the city as well as surrounding automatic aid partners.  The department provides fire protection, prevention and education, and ALS ambulance transport services and responds to over 2,700 calls annually.

Following application review, qualified applicants with complete applications may be invited to the interview process.  Selection plan includes application screening, a one-day interview process which may include manipulative skills assessments and oral board.  Finalists will undergo an extensive background investigation, medical and psychological assessment and drug testing.   The City of Mukilteo is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
