NWFR Division Chief / Fire Marshal Position Announcement.
North Whatcom Fire and Rescue is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Division Chief / Fire Marshal. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven years full time paid work experience in the fire service, including current certification as a Washington State Emergency Medical Technician or NREMT.
In addition, the division chief / fire marshal shall have an advanced education to include graduation from college with a two-year degree in Fire Science or Fire Administration or equivalent, supplemented by successful completion of fire prevention and arson investigation training programs; ICC Fire Inspector I, ICC Fire Inspector II; IFSAC Instructor I or equivalent; and working knowledge of NFPA #13, 20, 22, 24, 25, and 72.
Any combination of experience and education which provides the applicant with the level of required knowledge and abilities will be considered. This is an FLSA exempt position. Salary ranges from $104,000-$109,000 yearly with excellent benefits.
