National Fire Academy Announces 2023 Executive Fire Officer (EFO) and Leadership Symposium


Location: Emmitsburg, MD


The National Fire Academy is pleased to announce the 2023 Executive Fire Officer and Leadership Symposium will be held on April 14-15, 2023 (Friday and Saturday) at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland.

The EFO Symposium Committee has prepared a fantastic two-day program with an amazing line-up of presenters. This year’s two-day symposium will have something for everyone.

Who can attend: The audience for this event is EFO alumni, EFO students, current and future fire and EMS leaders.

The event is offered free of charge. Bus transportation to be provided to and from BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport for those staying on campus (pick-up on Thursday evening with return transportation on Sunday morning (details when you register)). Lodging provided at the National Emergency Training Center (NETC) free of charge. Those staying on campus will need to purchase a meal ticket.  Commuters will need to purchase a meal ticket for the meals they will have on campus and for breaks.

Safety & Health: Under current NETC guidelines for health and safety, while COVID-19 vaccinations are encouraged they are not required. All are welcomed to attend.
