Natrona County firefighter deployed to help battle Washington wildfires

One of Natrona Countyโ€™s own is lending a hand out west as wildfires continue to burn in Washington state. A Natrona County Fire District firefighter was deployed Wednesday morning to assist in the fight against the Lake Spokane Fire. The firefighter is now part of the PNW2 complex incident team, which is managing multiple fire operations in the region. The deployment brings Wyoming strength and experience to the front lines of this growing wildfire emergency. Officials say these mutual aid efforts are critical in supporting fire crews stretched thin during an especially active wildfire season.
