Laramie County Fire Authority has received two grants through the Assistance to Firefighter program. The first grant is through SAFER, a program that funds 75% of employee expenses for the first two years and 35% for the third year. The grant provides for four full time firefighter positions. This grant totals $1,056,000.
The second grant is through AFG and includes Frontline Mobile health physicals, cancer screenings and new fitness equipment for various stations. This grant totals $312,768.
