Wausau officers identify man seen setting parks department garbage receptacle on fire

VIDEO/PHOTOS: Authorities say they have identified the man who was seen lighting a central Wisconsin parkโ€™s department garbage receptacle on fire Friday night.

Officers with the Wausau Police Department say that around 10:30 p.m. on October 10, a man was seen on a surveillance camera setting fire to a parks department trash/recycling receptacle along the River Edge Parkway.

It was noted that the incident was near the pedestrian bridge to Barker-Stewart Island. Just after noon on Saturday, the Department updated its original Facebook post, saying the man has been identified. No additional details were provided.
