VIDEO: Two garages, a shed, and a vehicle are considered a total loss after a fire Tuesday morning in Eden. Around 10:18 a.m., the Fond du Lac County Sheriffโs Office said some of its deputies and the Eden Fire Department were dispatched to a garage fire at the 100 block of Sheridan Street. When deputies and fire personnel arrived on scene there was smoke and flames coming from the two detached garages on the property and the fire was starting to spread to the house, the sheriffโs office said.
Fire personnel were able to contain the fire to the two garages and a shed on the property. One side of the house sustained fire damage on the outside of the home but firefighters managed to save the house. The official cause of the fire is unknown at this time. No one was hurt and all animals on the property and in the house are accounted for and unharmed, the sheriffโs office said. The Eden Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the following departments; Eden 1st responders, Campbellsport Fire, Town of Fond du Lac Fire, Mt Calvary Fire, RIT Team 4, RIT Team 2, St Cloud Fire, Oakfield Fire, Brownsville Fire, Lamartine Fire, Lomira Fire, City of Fond du Lac Fire, Kewaskum Fire, and an ambulance from Campbellsport.
