VIDEO: A person was airlifted to the hospital after a fire destroyed a home in Lancaster over the weekend, the Platteville Fire Department reported on Monday. According to the Platteville Fire Department, crews responded just before 1 p.m. Saturday to a home on the 3000 block of Buckwheat Ridge Road for a report of a person possibly trapped in a home on fire.
When officials arrived on scene, the home was fully engulfed in flames. The person who was trapped in the home was brought to safety by a bystander and other authorities. The individual was airlifted by UW Med Flight to the hospital. Officials did not state the personโs current condition.
