La Crosse Fire Department Responds to Commercial Fire

VIDEO/PHOTOS: La Crosse Fire Department was dispatched to a fire alarm on the 400 block of Car Street in the early morning of April 29, their media release states. Fire crews were on the scene within 4 minutes of the alarm and discovered heavy smoke in the rear of the building. The structure was searched by rescue crews and no individuals were found. Firefighters pulled hose lines to the rear of the building for fire suppression and also deployed two ladder trucks for roof ventilation and additional fire suppression. The fire was completely extinguished, leaving behind moderate damage to the roof and trusses. There were no injuries on the scene. The fire is currently under investigation by the La Crosse Fire Department Fire Investigators.
