A Green Bay firefighter was injured and a resident is displaced after an early morning house fire. It happened around 12:15 a.m. Monday at 828 School Place. Upon arrival, firefighters found the front porch of the home fully engulfed in flames with the fire beginning to spread into the main living area of the home.
Once the initial fire was knocked down, crews went into the house to contain the fire’s progression, pulling ceilings to access and extinguish flames that had extended into the attic. One resident has been displaced and is staying with family. The estimated damage is approximately $100,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
