VIDEO: Cyndal Johannes and Dylan Krause spend their days responding to calls at the Vernon County 911 Dispatch Center. On Tuesday morning, they were presented with certificates and challenge coins from Emplify Health.
Emplify officials say the coins are given to those who took part in a chain of help that led to someoneโs survival. โYou really got to be prepared and ready for these calls to come in and you never know when theyโre gonna happen. We need highly trained professionals in the 911 center. Theyโre a very important part in the chain of survival, taking that initial 911 call,โ says Sheriff Roy Torgerson of the Vernon County Sheriffโs Office. Johannes and Krause were given their coins because of their part in sending responders quickly to a person who was suffering from cardiac arrest in Viroqua on February 3rd.
