VIDEO/PHOTOS: Interstate 90 is now fully open in both directions between Easton and Ellensburg after closures caused by nearby wildfires. The Washington State Department of Transportation first posted about the fires on X at 3:25 p.m., noting,” Due to several fires along the roadway, we are seeing delays on WB I-90 between Easton MP 75 and Cle Elum MP 85.” WSDOT confirmed in an updated X post at 4:12 p.m. that eastbound I-90 is closed at milepost 70 near Easton, while westbound I-90 is closed at milepost 106 near Ellensburg. Kittitas County Fire District 7 posted on Facebook that multiple agencies along I-90 were fighting the aforementioned fires, along with dozer and air support. The agency continued to note that the fire was contained from milepost 74 to 78 between the freeway and the railroad tracks. At 5:21 p.m., WSDOT posted an update on X that read, “Both directions of I-90 are open between Easton and Ellensburg.”
