VIDEO: A vegetation fire burned in the community of Acton Thursday, with fast-moving flames threatening structures in the area as well as the Angeles National Forest, prompting an evacuation order and warnings in some areas. The Hawk Fire was first reported at 3:02 p.m. Thursday at 35927 Trenmar Dr. It started with 5 acres, but by Thursday evening, the blaze had grown to 400 acres with a 6 % containment, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Maps showed there are some homes in the area of the fire, creating concerns for fire crews to keep residents safe. Cal Fire and LA County Fire crews were aggressively battling the fire as additional firefighting resources were en route.
