Search for 34-year-old fisherman last seen near Pago Bay continues

VIDEO/PHOTOS: Emergency responders have been searching for a fisherman, Kevin Nauta, 34, who disappeared at past 4 a.m. Monday after reportedly walking back into the water near a buoy in the Pago Bay area, according to Guam Fire Department Capt. Nick Garrido. GFD encourages anyone with information that may assist in the ongoing search to contact the Guam Police Department or call 911, Garrido said.

Nauta was last seen about 50 yards from shore shortly after 4 a.m. He went out alone after being with a group of other individuals fishing late Sunday night into Monday morning. โ€œThey all made it onto shore, and then he went back out into the water alone,โ€ Garrido said. At 7:30 p.m. Monday, Garrido said search efforts continued throughout the day with multiple dive operations conducted by GFD rescue personnel.
