One person transported from Morgantown apartment fire

VIDEO: The Morgantown Fire Department has released more information into the apartment fire that took place in Morgantown early Saturday morning. According to a release from the department, emergency crews responded to a structure fire with possible entrapment at a three-story, 13-unit apartment building at the end of Dille Street at approximately 4:52 a.m. Firefighters, along with the Morgantown Police Department, were able to safely evacuate all residents and four animals within six minutes. One person was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital for smoke inhalation and non-life-threatening injuries. The fire was under control by 6:26 a.m. Damage to the building was described by the fire department as โ€œsignificant.โ€ The investigation into the fire is currently ongoing and is being conducted by the Morgantown Fire Department fire marshals.
