Multiple crews respond to Chapmanville house fire

Firefighters responded to a house fire in Chapmanville Friday evening.

The fire happened at the corner of Airport Road and Snap Dragon Street just before 6 p.m.

According to the Chapmanville Fire Department, the fire started at a single-story home from the rear.

Officials say the home had, โ€œheavy dark smoke producing along the entire roof line.โ€

Firefighters say everyone made it out safely and no one was injured.

However, the house was a total loss.

They were assisted by the Henlawson and Danville Fire Departments, as well as manpower and air trailer from the Cora Fire Department.
